Like a lot of weapons, the Quick-Fix is situational. There's a time and a place to use it over the other mediguns. Typically it gets brought out when your teammates are constantly taking damage and the other mediguns can't heal everyone fast enough to keep them in the fight. A Medic skilled enough to use its ability to mirror blast jumps might also bring it out, which probably contributed to its competitive ban - the 6v6 meta heavily focuses on Medics, Soldiers, and Demomen.

The Quick-Fix uber grants massive healing to the patient and user, as well as giving immunity to knockback and crits. Again, it's situational. It tends not to work well in pubs due to class spam (especially Snipers and Spies). But if you can't take out a sentry or a group of Pyros because they keep knocking you into pits, it might come in handy.
Weird roleplaying. The situation is better than stock at basically everything except pushing well defended Sentry nests, where stock is obviously the only choice.

The only problem with the quick fix is that the uber sucks because you can just instantly die. If it was given 1 second of invulnerability when starting the uber it would be more competitive. Better yet, have it randomly flash stock uber for a split second every so often during the uber, its supposed to be the old medigun from meet the medic so having it be a bit 'broken' would thematically fit and would help it against burst damage.

Compare it to Vaccinator. Vaccinator has crit immunity against its damage type unlike the Quick Fix and it makes a world of difference. As long as a single soldier can fire a crocket and instantly kill a quick fix uber it will continue to suck. It doesn't even need to be a crit either just 2 soldiers firing at the same spot will work too thats how bad the uber is.

i wouldnt really call quick fix uber massive healing. then it would be called "the big fix" with extended lingering overheal surpassing the medigun or something. the big fix. two times quick fix three times big earner. the big fix. its gonna take a really "big fix" to make the quickfix good. yeah.

From a Medic POV Quick-fix is sub-optimal in general play. It's fun with the mirror jumps and fast healing, but the feeble ubercharge and lack of overheal really decreases the "game-changing" pushing power that Medic is famed for. Stock or Kritz ubers coming in will see teams scatter. You rarely get that reaction to the QF.

From a Soldier POV your value to me has diminished. I mean massively diminished. You are a dispenser to me now, except you can't give ammo, so you're worth less than Engy's li'l box (which you're probably stood next to healing all the players too scared to leave it's safety).

If you manage to move, and focus me until we're full uber and in a strong position, the cackle as you uber will quickly become rage as I ignore it and continue peeking and prodding until we have enough teammates present to make a dent with such a feeble ubercharge.

This sadly means that I will (generally speaking) put less effort into keeping you alive. It makes no difference really; you'll be back within 30 seconds (quicker if you mirror jump) providing 99% of your potential.

Bring stock and look sharp and my soldier will lay down his life to protect you.

A Quick-fix Medic would need to demonstrate significant skill, map knowledge and game sense to be more valuable than a Tier 1 Level 1 Stock Medic.

That said; I don't care what you play. I won't complain. Any Medic is good medic really, and we're all here to have some whacky "WTF just happened?" fun.

Time to play. Come stick your QF's up my butt and call me useless.

People are so stupidly against even talking about quickfix without automatic insult.

Keeping a high hp class up like a heavy while he gets pummeled is actually insane sometimes. In some modes running fast with scout or rocket jumps isn't bad either. Tops people off extremely fast. While the Uber is worse in most ways, you're gonna get like 4 of them off before you die because how fast it comes. It still saves lives in bad situations. And that also means you're more likely to save yourself before you get killed before a medigun uber even wouldve come.

Do you even realize how much faster it heals. Anytime you're healing someone with normal medigun and they're taking too much damage to be overhealed properly, do you realize in these common moments quickfix is a direct upgrade and can easily save lives when medigun can't?

The weapon has it's uses and all people do is insult it like a rabid animal instead of seeing any nuance.

The Good-Fix being better than Stock or Kritz? The Good-Fix should be named the BAD-Fix because it sucks!

The Bad-Fix is a terrible medigun. It is so bad that everytime I see a medic using it I like to call a vote against the med and mic spam, "IT'S A BOT! IT'S A BOT!" (It doesn't work anymore :steamsad:)

My next paragraph will now be dedicated to ignoring points on why the Bad-Fix is bad and against the person who made this most. OP, are you okay? Don't you know that the Bad-Fix doesn't do Stock or Kritz uber? I see you only have like 100 hours in TF2, you have no idea what you're talking about. As a 20k+ hour loser, I know you're wrong, in matter of fact you're so wrong that I have made code in a Google Sheet to generate a graph to illustrate how wrong you are.
