[SOLVED] WHY YOUR STATS DON'T UPDATE

Hello All,

So, since I have a severe lack of social life, I decided to spend today testing various theories as to why stats don't update in TF2. I played through community servers and several hours worth of Casual Matchaking and believe I have a solution.

For me, and possibly and probably many others, stats would only be GUARANTEED to update after committing suicide. I bound a key to explode and watched what happened. After several tries during warm up, and a whole round and suiciding during Victory Time, each time the time and best moments stats would update.

Once the game ended, or if I was killed by another player (the source of most life-ending events in TF2) my stats NEVER updated in Casual Matchmaking. Not once. Very occasionally in a community server they would update, and have updated, but this was a couple times over the course of a several hours.

If anyone else would like to test this themselves, please do! Tell me your findings.

Also, is there a way to directly report this as a bug to Valve? or is here how that is done.

There's a bug report feature at the bottom of the main menu. It's the button that looks like a ladybug.

I've been killed a few times in end-game and still got the XP and I'm playing in Pub Casual.

Nope! Had steamstat.us on my other monitor the whole time. Never saw any issues

Not XP. They fixed players not getting XP (thank GOD). I'm taking about stats. What you see when you click the other tab in the items menu.

From what I can tell this no longer works, I literally can't update my statics what so ever. I believe this is a lost cause. And with Valve no longer caring about their video games. (Especially TF2) I don't think this will ever get patched. I myself will just have to deal with the facts that my statistics will LITERALLY NEVER UPDATE FOR THE REST OF GAME PLAYING LIFE!!!

ye i have to say playing a lil spy and getting a decent amount of backstabs and it still being 3? like come on
