The pyro class was killed in the jungle Inferno update
More than a year after the update, I can't stand this class at last. and dont want to be a pyro main anymore.
Indeed, pyro is just a support class and I am not a good player. But pyro is not supposed to be something just like now.
No combo,lower damage, lower efficiency ,less fun ,more reliance on medic and more brainless .I can even say that phlog is pyro s best weapon. If u really want to kill a lot of people in the present situation as a pyro,crit is much more valuable than reflect,you need a med anyway.
The jungle Inferno update should correct pyro s awkward position and upgrading its skills requirements .
From the point of view ,long-awaited jungle Inferno update not only destroy the pyro, but make it bored ,make it more brainless.
I am not averse to change playstyle.but wtf is this now ?The advantages of this update are not enough to resurrect pyro.
As for blue moon update, it's fair to every class except pyro.
I loved pyro so much.:steamsad:

Jungle Inferno is what made me nearly stop using him altogether. Now I only use him to clear chokes and deal with Spies my teammates can't bother stopping themselves.

Am I remembering this correctly? Jungle Inferno seemed a good update for Pyro, it was a small step forward but then Blue Moon took two steps back.

both updates fixed (sorta) pyro's flames - ji buffed it, bm nerfed it

The real mistake is in jungle Inferno update,without blue moon, it would be worse.

It fixed his flame consistency issues with his flames and nerfed airblast, but broke his damage calculations via hitboxes, removed his need for primary aim entirely, and then nerfed his damage with a buggy rampup mechanic several months later.

Overall, Jungle Inferno fixed Pyro one way and broken him another, while Blue Moon straight up nerfed him. He's considerably weaker after both updates than before tbh.

Flaregun combo is still easy, just aim at feet, press m2 and you have enemy in the air for like 1 second or two.
