The Shortstop Push

I didn't even know I wanted it, but that shove is low-key the silliest upgrade in the whole update. Scout finally gets to be the schoolyard bully he always wanted to be. Pushing people off cliffs, into sentries, pushing uber-medics away from their patients, and trolling everyone. It's like airblast, but for people only, with no ammo cost and a more powerful pushback.

It makes sense with the shortstop too, seeing as that's the weapon that you want to fight from a distance with, versus the shotguns. The gun didn't do enough damage before either, so this makes the shortstop a tool for versatile shenanigans, provided you can get away with it considering the scout's low health.

Seriously, it's a lot of fun. Anybody else find any cool uses for that push?

I can't wait for a Medic to kritz me while I'm using that that so I can push people for 3 damage instead of 1.

He ALREADY did so with the FaN, the difference is that his unlockable was deisgned with knockback as it's whole feature with long relaod as a trade off.

The Shortstop has terrible knockback (if any) at point blank. The push feature was a way to keep the cartoony nature but make it more viable.

True, the FaN does it too. I still think the shortstop shove clicks more for me because it's there alongside the ranged shots. Little more versatile. Makes for an interesting alternative for scouts that like pushing people around.

I believe what the way you're supposed to use it is too put distance between yourself and your opponent, since the Shortstop is most powerful at a medium range.

Hey, you understand why this change was made. It's still stupid, since it barely works; but that was the logic behind this questionable feature.

shortstop is so under-used for a good reason, its much much harder to hit with it at close range than shotguns, I have never been able get close enough to shove some one, the extra knock back from hits makes it even harder, Shove is probably the most useless ability in the game.

I mean it's only useful for trolling and stuff, I don't see it's help in actual games because you'd probably instantly get killed before even touching the enemy player.
