Whats the point of "Being friendly?"

When I started playing TF2, there was no such thing as a "Friendly player" who would be heavy, go to 2forts bridge, crotch down and pass out sandwiches. In almost every server I go, I encounter these guys. Sometimes I'd kill them, sometimes I dont. Last time there was a friendly, I got so pissed off at him because he was on my team, and he wouldnt help me kill an enemy (I was spy, by the way. Also he was in their sewers) so I kinda got mad and switched over to reds team. There was also an engy who didnt approved of him being friendly.

I dont mind friendlies, I usually dont target them when they are not on my team, but I dont get why players would want to be friendly.

cause they don't think a Competive game like TF2 is meant to be taken seriously that everyone should follow their version of fun which is nothing but Sunshine and Rainbows

It's generally younger children who can't afford Gmod that do this. By all means, open fire on them. If they're not on a "friendly only" server, then there's no reason to leave them alive.

Inb4 yet another flame war on the subject. As for friendlies, I don't really care about them if they aren't in the way. If they are, though, I'll kill them.

Funny thing is, I kinda like pretending to be friendly. I go as Heavy, with a loadout of the Iron Curtain, Sandwich, and fists. Then I go to the Friendly grouping, crotch down and equip the sandwich. But then I get bored and mow down the enemy Heavy. I should try this when there is more than one enemy player, and mow them all down with the minigun. (I dont have the steak, so I cant eat it and get crits/minicrits)

The point of being friendly is to ruin fun. It can be satisfying knowing that you're taking a player slot from your team while also healing players on the enemy team, and if the enemy team enjoys a challenge, then it's even better because they obviously wouldn't want you being friendly.

they are annoying and waste space for people that actually want to play the game.

either kill them or vote kick if they are on your team.

I love killing groups of 'friendly' players. I usually play spy (or demo) so when I do come across these groups, I can take them out pretty fast. Usually I'll get comments like "Fellow you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pleb do you not know TF2 Manners?" If they're all congaing or doing the other dance group taunt, it makes it all the better!

Because I don't need someone on the other team helping me like that. That's why I would happily kill them. If they don't like dying to my stranges, then they can shoot back or leave. If they join my team then they'll get a swift votekick outta there.

So much fun to do this. It's hilarious how angry people get when you kill them in an FPS.

I don't in all friendly servers but when there's actually a good match going on...
