Team Fortress 2
About professional killstreak fabricators and skins
I'm trying to make an extra bit of money on Steam by completing professional killstreak kits and selling them on the market. While looking at specialized killstreaks that I would need to be able to complete the professional recipe, I noticed that some gun mettle/tough break weapons are being sold on the market with a specialized killstreak applied to them, and they seem to be craftable.

So, my question is: can I use a specialized killstreak re-skin of, say, a "big mayor" revolver as a component to make a professional killstreak kit?

Doubt it, since it's not Unique. It would be a waste of money either way.
They aren't Unique weapons, so no.
Besides, it's far more expensive to use skins.

Instead of doing that, click the buttons that says show stock weapons. Apply the Kit to that, and then you get the specialized revolver as a drop.

Considering that I buy the specialized killstreaks on the market, it would actually have saved me money, hence the reason why I asked.
