Question regarding Halloween unusual effects.

I've been talking with my friend recently about getting an unusual with halloween effects such as Demonflame or Hellfire.
He asked me whether or not it would still be possible to unbox any of the unusuals with the halloween effects. I had no idea how that works, so I'm asking you.
Will halloween unusuals be ever avaible through unboxing? By that I mean during a Halloween event and not some new effects that would come along with it. I want the old effects.

Also, I got some other questions regarding unusuals:
1. Do all crates, no matter what they are, give halloween effect unusual during an event, and only those effects?;
2. Are all robo-unusuals disliked? Are there any exceptions that are in somewhat high demand?;
3. Is backpack.tf a good way to price unusuals with low supply (5 of less in existance)? If not, how could I name a good price for them?;
4. Does the fact that an unusual is duped matter, if it has low supply? I have seen one unusual I may actualy afford, but there are only 2 in existance, one of which being a dupe.

• 1. Yes, almost any crate can give you unusual effect when opened during the yearly halloween event (gargoyle crates are an exception. Best crate to open is #83 for this stuff)

No. Unusuals never come as drops. When you unbox an unusual, it can either be a robo-hat unusual or just any other kind of unusual hat (tiered crates are the exception)

Alright. Here is a question from yours truly:
Is there any kind of method to getting an unusual that doesn't involve trading? I'de much rather unbox than spend $50+ on cosmetics.

1. You seem to miss one part of my question. Will it only be halloween effects, or regular effects can also be unboxed during an event?;

2, 4. I'd like to get Demonflame Titanium Tyrolean, which according to bp.tf is 26 keys. I found both owners, one of them has it duped, or so I guess. The history of his unusual doesn't show him as current owner.

You also missed my original question. Will we ever get a chance to unbox unusuals with effects like Flaming Lantern, Demonflame and other halloween effects?

Well yes, by unboxing. Don't do it though, never ever worth it because you'll have to spend quite a lot to guarantee an unusual.

You'll be able to unbox any halloween effect and not be able to open any 1st, 2nd, 3rd effect until the event is over.

Ok ive been unusual trading for a bit and im a too lazy to explain so ive pasted tf2wiki's info about haloween effects:-

-Haloween 2011-2014: "Unlike other effects, these can only be obtained during Halloween season, from any openable crate."

-Haloween 2015: "Items with these effects can only be obtained by unlocking the Gargoyle Case."

Answers:
1. Well thats answered above.
2. No, some effects like Time Warp and Anti-Freeze are high tier and are popular. But the others are pretty 'meh'.
3. bacpack.tf is a guideline for pricing, if there are few of that particular unusual in existence then you should not rely on it's own bacpack.tf price so much. A good way to check 'rarer' unusuals is by comparing its effect price to an unusual with a similar average price.
4. If there is only 2 in existence, duped would probably mattr.

I am a pretty noob unusual trader so dont trust my responses completely.

If you are talking bout robo hats, they are generally despised.

With the new unboxing system i doubt u can unbox old haloween effects anymore.

What do you mean with the new unboxing system? Last year you were able to get unusuals with the halloween effect in the gun mettle cosmetic crates.

What do you mean with the new unboxing system? Last year you were able to get unusuals with the halloween effect in the gun mettle cosmetic crates.

only the most recent haloween hats can be unboxed with the most recent haloween effect. I might be wrong
