Team Fortress 2
Demo Support for Competitive/Casual
So, I chose the setting that records every match in comp/casual and saves a demo. In the console it says that the demo has started to record. That's when the match starts. When the match ends, it says the demo has finished recording it saved. Where do I find those demos, as they aren't in the demo option in the tf2 main menu.

Read the console commands that I've sent you in the link.

type "demoui" in tf2's console and load the file

Okay, I better tell you what to do then.

You can only open the demo files in Team Fortress 2 itself. Ergo, you need to open the game and type into the console
playdemo demos\name of the demo
Now the demo loads up. With Shift+F2, you bring up the control menu.

If you want to export the demo as a video, type
sv_cheats 1 host_framerate 60 startmovie demos\name of the demo h.264

Then you wait, it may look messed up during recording but it will be fine afterwards.
When you are done, type
endmovie

And then you will find the demo under the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\demos as mp4 in h.264 codec.

Yes, just go ahead and copy and paste the name of the demo located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\demos
