Do paints increase the value of cosmetic items?
Hello guys. So a couple of days ago i bought a Soldier's slope scopers for 1.66 ref. And a good friend of mine gave me a can of white pink paint (Color No. 216 which is 7 ref) and i applied that can to my slope scopers. Now do paints add some extra value to the cosmetic item? If yes then what is the current value of my hat after i applied the paint to it. Thanks ⌒.⌒

They increase the value by about half the price of the paint.

Since this is refined metal, about 3.55 ref. Your hat is worth about 5.11 ref.

Hardly. Painted cosmetics sell a lot slower. You'd be lucky to get 3 ref for it.

I suppose it'd be what the buyer is willing to pay, though. Obviously if he can get the paint and the hat separately cheaper, he'd do that, but if it'd save time and money to just get them together, I'd think they'd jump on that pretty quickly. It's all about finding the right buyer at that point; everyone else will deem your item as worth a lot less.

Buyer only interested in paying extra for Black, White, Lime and Pink paint, other than that the items stay at its original price.

But my paint is considered pink so it does apply to that category.

If the pink painted cosmetic is value at 1.33 ref - 4.33 ref, 1 key is a good price to sell it.

I would say it really depends. Different colors get different people.

That's the price sellers sell at. Buyers usually buy pink paint at 10-25% price, you'll be lucky to find one who offers you 50%. They hardly ever come by and when they do they typically get swamped with hats in a few days and stop buying

A key is 20 ref no sane person would buy something worth 8.66 ref max. Unless your hat has a nice craft number or is signed by pro players
