Why is Dustbowl the most popular attack/defense map?

It seems like everytime i try to play a/d i end up on Dustbowl. Why is it so poular? Usually when i play people just spam pills, stickies, rockets (you name it), it's really hard to play as a Scout or Pyro and there's by far more spawncamp than in any other map. I just don't get it. Is it because people like spam?

2Fort is terrible in TF2 though when you compare TFC's 2Fort to TF2's 2Fort TFC's is way better

It's pretty straightforward, and for the three people who actually did the tutorial, part of the tutorial takes place there so maybe the people who do the tutorial decide to play on that map. That's my guess

And that fact that it's been around since the beginning, really.

the map out lives the Tutorial as well before TF2 even got into updates how the game worked was you had to learn on the field on what Class did what and you had to learn their Strengths and Weaknesses in the heat of battle

easyest way i can explain it, you gotta think of this map like dust 2 from the cs saga, it's been in the game since the beginning and it is overall a great map, people have been finding great spots to use and it's really the first map you should play

I really don't think it's that great of a map, but ok i can understand why people play it.
