How to activate shield as medic in MVM?

I did that.
No shield

Did you buy the upgrade for the medigun

step 1. buy the upgrade
step 2. charge the bar in the bottom right corner of your screen, it'll turn red (NOT the uber, the other one!! it shows after you've gotten the upgrade) you charge it by healing
step 3. press down on that scroll wheel thingy (mouse 3)

In order to activate Projectile Shield while playing as a Medic in Mann Vs. Machine you need to purchase the upgrade in the upgrade shop before or during the wave, while in the shop, select your medi-gun and purchase Projectile Shield, to build the shield bar energy you need to heal friendly teammates and when the bar is full press MMB(Middle Mouse Button) to activate shield and block Projectiles(Grenade Pipes, Rockets, Bullets, etc.), you also have the ability to upgrade and extend this skill in the shop.

I made sure I did that and it still didn't work 😂
