backpack.tf is WORTHLESS
here's a scenario of trading without backpack.tf (or equivalent) one person has a cool weapon, another person has a cool hat, they want to trade and they say that it works, trade complete. Here's the same scenario with the existance of backpack.tf, one person has a cool weapon, another person has a cool hat, the guy with the weapon sends the trade offer and gets turned down because it's not equal to 2.33 refined. Said person then get's acused of being a scammer for not using the trading system and never get's the weapons and items he would like... do u see what this is???

well , if that

all normal hats will be like 3.66 or 4 ref or maybe more , because crafting a complety random hat is 3 ref , and a specifically one will be more

I personaly think steam should just make there own community market that uses the trade system it would be much simpler then using a bunch of different sites

valve doesn't involve itself in trading like that, the price guidelines are decided entirely by the community

If Backpack.tf restricted itself to pricing based on actual sales, it would have some credibility.
As it is, some of us remember the tale of the guy with the $8 backpack and give the place a very wide berth...

Not bp.tf's fault, it's the idiot's fault for accusing them for being a scammer, which isn't true because that has nothing to do with scamming.

All I'm getting from this is that OP wants free stuff.

Sorry OP, thats not how the real world works and that's not how TF2 works either. Backpack.tf is staying. Get bent.

Also get a feeling that OP is under the age of 16 and lacks basic knowledge of economics.

it's supply and demand, i could explain this to yet another individual clueless about the market but honestly i don't feel like it
who cares about the bloody market? My point (which I'm not surprised has slipped behind u) is that people who don't use the system are rejected because of it, and as such they get called scammers, and so everyone with the good items avoid them and they basically are stuck without the cool items to be registered as pro by the entire community, think of the Egyptians, they had a good trading system going without the need for quality control
What you think the items are worth and what the prices arctually are differ. No one cares what you think something is worth, unless the price is set in stone by the entire community your opinion is competely meaningless. If you are going to trade seriously, then know the price of the item you are trading for, and the item you are trading away. If they are equal or if you overpay with items like the buyer states then its not a scam, otherwise that is exactly what it is, and you have no one to blame but yourself for getting reported

Also the Egyptians trade system doesn't matter at all in this situation, the TF2 trade system and every logical trade system in the world will differ from it because this is modern time.

Your point is arguing against something no one else is.
I AM one of those people who get abused by this system, I try my best to give fair and honest trades but that scenario that i posted actually happene to me, because that's what this trading system has done, it's made only the people who have played for years amount to anything in the market and left all the others to get laughed at
So backpack.tf is bad because you can't afford a hat? Mkay.
