Engineer PDA equip slot

While customizing your Engineer loadout, there are a few different PDA's you can choose from (Pip-Boy, Beep Boy, etc). There is also an item slot for Construction PDA. What confuses me though is that you cannot equip these custom PDAs into the Construction PDA slot. They must be equipped into your cosmetic slots, thus preventing you from using that slot for something else.

I think you should be able to equip the custom PDAs into the Construction PDA slot and still have your 3 cosmetic slots available.

Thoughts?

Well, the Pip-Boy, when equipped, does give you a custom green menu when you use your PDA. The Beep Boy is just a cosmetic, though.

The PDA slot is likely so people can equip the Strange version of the PDA, though I do find it odd that we don't have more options. Not even a reskin.

I included the Beep Boy because you hold it as an actual PDA when using it.

No you don't. I've seen a ton of people with the Beep Boy. It stays in its equip slot the whole time.

Unless you're suggesting that Engie COULD hold it as a PDA. (I get that that's what the first post was suggesting, but these aren't actual PDA's. The Beep Boy is a handheld game console).

completely agree that engie and spy need reskins or other items. maybe promo items or something. and maybe the different disguise kits and pdas could have different disguises and buildings or something. you know what? i am actually going to get SFM and design new pdas and disguise kits and submit them to the workshop!

That would be a great idea! It's a nice little touch to a cosmetic set to make the PDA/disguise kit match the set better.

Can you imagine an unusual PDA? Might not be so useful on the disguise kit if you hold flames in your hand everytime you're about to disguise lol

there is strange pda that you can equip there.

i found it by searching if there were any variants to pda and disguise kit because there was empty space there that you couldnt put anything in
