Spectral Spectrum?

So I got a hat from this guy a while back with a halloween spell called: Spectral Spectrum which makes the hat slowly swap between some colours when its either halloween or a full moon, so I put up the hat on tf2 outpost to sell it and a guy posts this " You can't get the paint anymore because its been removed from the game and the outpost item search" and thats all, Could someone help explain to me what he wanted to say with this, does he mean that the hat is worth more? Or that the hat is fake or whatever, and I have checked my BP and the paint is still there,

yea, that effect is from an old promotion and, as of now, is very rare.

The hat should be more expensive. The spell is only available during the Halloween event. And I believe ONLY during the one-time-per-year event in October on only one Halloween map. Plus Spectral Spectrum is team colored and a rare drop, and is therefore more expensive than all other paint-based spells. If you think you can make a profit off it you should sell it before Halloween rolls around since people will be able to get them again during that time. I'm no economist so take that with a grain of salt.

HOWEVER: The nature of keeping spells changed last year and may change again. Just consider the situation to be very fluid. I expect spells will drop again this year, but they may not. IF AND ONLY IF they do not drop, there would be a great demand for spell'd items, particularly Spectral Spectrum ones because if their value as a team colored spell.
