Why does tf2 make background sounds like youtube quiet?
i would like to know at least, maybe even a fix for this small problem

also a problem Ive been having is the mouse will go off the web browser

I would like to listen to some scott joplin on youtube without tf2 making it sound like a mute person trying to say hello

It is probably taking exclusive control of the audio device. There is an option in windows on whether to allow it. In windows 7 go to control panel, sound, right click the output device you are using (playing music or something should show the level changing if you don't know which one it is) select properties, go to the tab that says advanced, and remove the check allowing it.

aight ima check to see if that works right now

Tried it but it didnt seem to help at all

Are you using the game browser or your extrunal one like google chrome?

the game browser of course, its right there on the shift tab thingy

so you are saying that if i use the external browser it will be normal?

It made no difference to me
