Team Fortress 2
Best gloves for heavy?
My preference was either the gloves of running urgently or the regular boxing gloves

Eviction Notice, Holiday Punch, or Fists of Steel
Eviction Notice for escaping, Holiday Punch for immobalizing, and the Fists of Steel for surviving.

Melee isn't great on slow-moving class whose primary shreds enemies when they're at melee range.

Utility rules, and GRU is king of utility.
FoS could be of circumstantial benefit if you want to tank a bit harder as heavy;
And KGB can be fun to crit-combo if you find yourself in a position to do that, although you probably won't.

Eviction Notice? <Checks patch notes>
Are people hitting enough enemies with it to make use of the speed boost? Or is 15% "penalty free" movement the meta ATM? Can't say I even noticed it get that buff.

I would think that EN outclasses the GRU with flexibility, since you don't have to put it away so early and it doesn't remove falloff on you.

GRU is superior on longer rollouts, but still isn't as good for retreating or shifting locations.

Eviction notice, gives you a speed buff without the un needed mini crits.

the lack of minicrits offsets the speed loss
you'd have to drop the GRU early to avoid minicrits, which allows the EN to pull ahead or at least be on par for anything other than running across the map

you can also pull out the EN at any time for a quick speed boost without having to worry about being instagibbed, and you can 'bhop' with it similar to pre-nerf GRU/current powerjack by switching off as you jump to carry momentum while not incurring any penalties

Mittens. There's nothing more satisfying than sneaking up behind an uber, and hitting the Medic (or to a lesser extent, the patient) with them and making them laugh.

This is why they shouldn't have had the brass beast nerfed, because it could offset the mini crits a bit with the damage resistance

Gloves of Running Urgently is the meta for advanced gameplay, since every second matters when rolling out and EN doesn't come up to par in that standpoint. And since Heavy is only really used in Highlander (or 12v12 casual) being ambushed isn't a big issue with GRU unless for some reason your running around solo, AS THE HEAVY.
Most useful is GRU, followed by Fists of Steal. GRU flat out gives Heavy free mobility, which is suppose to be one of Heavies downsides that allows him to get to where he needs to be and possition better quicker.

Fists of Steal allows Heavy to get through choke points that are usually clustered when spam easier, he can also tank damage for his teal and cap points a little easier using these.
