tf_bot_quota broken
As of last few updates no matter what quota I use, the teams are not even. I always have an extra player on my team.

Yes, I play offline with bots sometimes - helps me work towards achievements etc. and is still kinda fun.

I haven't noticed any problems with the command. What value do you usually put in?

After I use it, server automatically sets server cvar tf_bot_count to an even number, leaving me (as a human) the odd +1

I like to play 12 on 12. I've tried tf_bot_quota 23, 24 and 25 - they all give me a 12 v 11 match.

Interesting...
What is tf_bot_quota_mode usually set to?

Right now I'm thinking it has to do either with a limit on the number of players on a server, or a limit on the number of bots on a server.

Normal. I tried it on fill mode too. The server limit gets adjusted automatically but I'll have a look at what it is as I don't think I changed it from default.

Okay this worked: Server maxplayers 25, tf_bot_quota_mode fill tf_bot_quota 24 - I have a 12v12 game.

Okay, well if the bot quota mode is set to normal, then the bot quota should do nothing, at least according to the wiki. (Does anyone know of what the "normal" quota mode does? Because all the documentation I can find about it says that it makes the bot quota do nothing, but based on Darkfalz's testimony, it seems like it does, and I don't have access to my computer to play around with it.) Setting the bot quota mode to fill should make it so that the number of players plus the number of bots equals the bot quota, if the number of players is less than the bot quota (otherwise there are no bots). So, for singleplayer, if the bot quota is set to fill, then the number of bots will always be one less than the bot quota. When playing alone, I usually use fill and set the quota to an even number, mainly because it's less confusing, but also on the rare chance that someone joins my server, I don't have to fine-tune the number of bots as the server will do it for me.

hey uhh, i've had problems with tf_bot_quota as well, it, well it wont go any higher or lower then... 3 bots, and players count as bots btw (bot quota=4, 2 players join, 2 bots leave)
i cant get it any higher then 2, and well, its kinda annoying as its breaks merc_headhunt. i thought i might share this here in case you've found a solution to your problem, might help mine too.
