VAC IS FINALLY WORKING AND IS BANNING BOTS

I just saw like 5 bots get VAC banned in front me in a matter of 5 minutes. Is this finally the first step into fixing the bot issue? Hopefully they don't crack it in a couple of hours/days because im sick of this and haven't been able to play 2fort at all for 2 weeks.

if i am not wrong, it is just a diffrent disconnect message, they aren't actually vac'd

@OP, for context to the above, bots used to change their disconnect message to say stuff like 'vac banned' and whatnot to fool players, which was why Valve patched them out in the first place.

If they're actually getting banned, hell yeah, but it's more likely that the bots are just messing with it again. We'll see in time.

next time you see that just get the list of the last players you played with on the steam overlay and check on their profile if they are vac banned or not

bots with 5000 hours in record and online since 2017, nope vac still not doing anything

Maybe I was wrong. I think it was just some VAC-banned bot that kept trying to join the same server over and over then getting removed instantly with the VAC ban message. I think it's the same bot that I've been meeting in the last 3 days lol.

Either way, I thought those bots and cheaters were able to bypass the VAC ban and still join those servers? Maybe Valve did something after all?

But anyway, the good news is 2fort is no longer plagued by lag bots! In the last 3 days I've been able to play full rounds with ZERO lag bots.

You realize they never fully go away? As long as the game's F2P the hoster can just make account after account after account for their bots and just keep sending them into TF2 because of that fact!

I know, but im hopeful that it'll get patched in the future (been hoping for a couple of years now). Dealing with normal bots isn't the issue anymore, it's those lag bots that roam 2fort maps.
