Team Fortress 2
Is this a pay to win game?
I've see weapons people have that I've never seen and i do no think i can get them without paying us dollars

Not really, most of the stuff you pay for are reskins if they aren't new weapons that generally have downsides

so the weapons that you pay for do not increase in damage?

give me an example

Weapons are randomly dropped over time, with some being earned from achievements.
You can trade for anything you don't have.

no, it might be that players with expensive cosmetics are just better at the game

No, you can easily get all weapons without sending a cent

But by paying money you can get the better weapons way faster (AKA buying a key and trading it for metal)

Every gameplay altering weapon can be obtained for free, although paying is certainly the easiest way to get them (though, you can get them for a fraction of the price they're listed at in the store if you're smart)
However you do need to get a backpack expander in order to have enough inventory space to own all the weapons, sadly.

The only REAL "pay to win" element is certain taunts that allow you to see in 3rd person view and cancel at any time to corner camp. But that's incredibly niche and not many people even make use of it.

All the weapons that have different stats can be found randomly via the item drop system, so I wouldn't call the game P2W.

Even if they do, they have a downside. All unique weapons are obtainable without paying (except for their reskinned variants, but the change is cosmetic)

weapon stats are usually unique or a gimmick, the stock weapons are almost always better except for melee slots (where stock is usually still good), and even then each weapon is like a nickel on the steam marketplace and may randomly drop every week for you as you play the game

alright thank you guys

So that means this game needs pure skill and is not a pay to win?

Depends on your playstyle, but the game certainly isn't P2W.
Yes, tf2 is p2w. I have an unusual hat and every dude in the server goes medic and pockets me for the entire game
It's closer to "pay to have an advantage in certain situations while getting a disadvantage in others"
Sadly it is. You win the game by having the best looking hat, and you get those by opening cases (which cost money to open).
