You can trade for anything you don't have.
But by paying money you can get the better weapons way faster (AKA buying a key and trading it for metal)
However you do need to get a backpack expander in order to have enough inventory space to own all the weapons, sadly.
The only REAL "pay to win" element is certain taunts that allow you to see in 3rd person view and cancel at any time to corner camp. But that's incredibly niche and not many people even make use of it.
All the weapons that have different stats can be found randomly via the item drop system, so I wouldn't call the game P2W.
Depends on your playstyle, but the game certainly isn't P2W.
