Is lime paint actually expensive?

I just thought of that because some guy posted about expensive paint, which brought me to the question why the "extreme" paints are so expensive seeing how rare the actual users are atleast gameplay wise, and since paint normally only adds its own value to the item it doesnt make much sense for traders either, so the only thing i can imagine is people thinking it is expensive because of its meme-status, which accidentally inflated their actual value.

It's $5.00 USD, which just so happens to be twice the price of a key, which is $2.50 USD, Lime Paint is 2 keys, equivalent to one can of paint.

But it's not expensive compared to paints on the same tier level. Black, White and Pink all cost the same from the Mann.co Store, and likewise they're in the same catagory price wise.

Just like the "Team Spirit" and other team oriented colors all being roughtly a key, as they cost about that on the Mann.co Store.

That's not strictly why, as there's only a small handful of paints in the drop system

It's expensive because the only way they come into existence is either through unboxing one, or buying it directly from the Mann.co store.

Can we also stop using "expensive" to describe something worth less than a meal at a burger joint?
