Voicemod for TF2

I want to have voicemod on TF2 and everytime I start the game, I can't speak into the mic. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you ensured the microphone was properly installed and is functioning?

The main problem is that the instructions the website gives me are old instructions

Instructions? Are you trying to make a mod or install a mic?

Im trying to change the mic I already have to a different one in the game. When I go in game it doesn't give me the option to. Im wondering if ii have to do it outside the game or if there is something in game im missing.

On discord it is easy because there is a voice and video section in settings. I can change the mic there.

I'm no hardware expert, but I'm fairly certain you have to install the mic outside the game. I could be wrong though.

Hey Hunter In a Green Vest, i wasnt expecting you here, anyways, I use my laptop's mic, and when I downloaded voicemod, It didnt allow me to speak in tf2(voice chat) Help?

Oh hey, you were that pyro driving off the cliff on hightower, right?

As for the voicemod, it seems it can be a bit buggy. Someone on reddit got it working by changing "your default mic to the voice mod one in your recording settings, (on windows)".
