I got hurt big by the crate depression

I woke up on July 26 and checked the market to see the price of an item I was curious about (I forgot what that was). Inatead what I found shocked me. The prices of unusuals DIPPED massively. Still kind of loopy from waking up I got worried that my 16 key unusual purple energy pugilists protector would lose all of its value. My reasoning was that this would be a permanent change and all unusuals would be tradable, at least in the moment.

I looked at how other purple energy unusuals were selling, which was about 6 keys, and I quick sold my unusual for 6 keys in an attempt to minimize damage to the worth of my backpack. I regretted this decision the moment I made it and came to my senses. All this was less than in hour before trading was locked.

I'm 10 keys in the hole already, and if you were to blame it on me that would be understandable, but the bad luck wasn't done yet.

Regretting my decision to sell my old unusual, I figured I might as well hop on the hype train and buy a glitched unusual. I loaded 10 dollars on my account and settled on an aces high cotton head, a good hat with an underrated effect unfortunately I chose to do this only 10 MINUTES after the market was disabled.

I think i slammed my face on my keyboard as any reasonable person would.

Fast forward to today, and I had sent a steam support message. I didnt want any compensation unusuals or a cheater's lament, I just wanted to be back at where I was before the depression.

They said no.

I'm not quitting tf2 or trading or anything but I'm still kinda pissed.

(Inb4 being told I'm a nerd for investing In virtual hats)

TL;DR: I sold my 16 key unusual for 6 keys during the depression in a panic, tried to buy an unusuals 10 minutes after the market was disabled. Contacted steam support for help, and they said no. Now I'm kinda mad.
