ToonHUD - Hitmarker crosshair?

Hello,
I noticed you could get a hitmarker crosshair to appear whenever you deal damage to something if you installed ToonHUD.

I want to keep the regular TF2 HUD, but I still want to get the hitmarker crosshair that comes from ToonHUD, so I messed with the files in my ToonHUD folder and deleted everything that wasn't about the crosshair but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. Maybe i'm doing something wrong (?) maybe it's impossible (?)

Can someone help me out?

Im sure that if you go into your .ini files related to the crosshair you could probably carry it over.
