You can sometimes get them from random drops.

1. You get one for free each Smissmas.
2. You can find them as random drops. They are rare though I think I have only found 2 or 3 in six years of playing.
3. The chances of winning are really low but a site like scrap.tf has free raffles you can enter. Sometimes people raffle off name tags.
4. A gift from a friend or stranger. I would never beg, it turns people off, but sometimes people do give items to friends or even strangers.

If you cant wait till December I suggest saving up and buying one yourself. They are like 70 cents on the SCM.

You can get them from random drops, but im like 90% sure you need a premium account to get them. correct me if i'm wrong

Random drops dont care about account type, you just cant trade them.
Also crafting metal from your drops with a standard account will make the metal untradeable making any weapons you craft too untradable.
