Spy's 20% damage resistance while cloaked is too much
Spy (from the class-based teamwork-focused first person shooter, Team Fortress 2) is too frustrating to chase down while cloaked, especially with 200 hp from the kunai.
If he is caught out he should be dead, not receive magical anime protagonist plot armor just because he can click mouse 2.
Thank you.

all because a spy got away from you in the last match doesn't mean we have to make him even worse than he already is

Spy: Runs away
OP: And I took that personally

A kunai spy with 200 hp + 20 % damage resistance would have an effective health of 240, enough to survive 2 pipes and get away.
A spy with 125 hp + 20 % damage resistance would have an effective health of 150, barely a difference.

Clearly, the problem is the kunai.

Is that really fair though? Should Spy automatically die every time he gets a stab or something? Why shouldn't he get a fighting chance to run away?

A Demo that can hit two pipes on the least trackable target in the game wouldn't have to care in the first place

It was just an example for how much damage that spy could take and live on.

and mostly when you stab someone, ppl will all hear that sound and chase you down, the 200 health is great, but youre usually either forced to retreat or shoot the opponent anyways (or use high ping to "trickstab"), unless youre using the eternal reward, the spycicle just creates an entire statue.

The spy just needs things that allows to escape situations after getting 1 stabs, because a lot of class can at least defend themselves after getting a kill (maybe except medic, but even then pub medics can mess with ubersaw+default uber) so I guess it's fair that spy at least something that lets him get away after getting a kill if he wants to.

(or summon the diamondback, which is an entire discussion on its own).

It was just an example of what kind of being it takes for the 20% to even make a difference.

I think it's fine, I don't main spy, but they earned that health from a backstab.
Not like it's the broken ass diamondback
Vror Mar 23, 2021 @ 9:13pm
Haha why are we talking about spy being OP but not sniper? You know, the class that does everything spy achieves but better and safer

You should be able to track invis spy though

Just get good.

I've seen a cloaked spy take 2 rockets in face from a 'direct hit' and live to tell the tale as he disappeared like a fart in the wind... yes, it can sometimes be super annoying.

It's actually not enough. It should be 90% at least
Seems to me that you just need more time to get actually better at the game. Maybe stop and help your teammates out that are feeding the Spy free over heals perhaps.
