Community servers giving me a huge fps drop

Since casual match making takes a decade, i decided to join community servers and the first thing i hear is stutter lag and then when i spawned in, my fps went from 60 to 20, this does not happen on valve servers, any ways to fix this?

I think it's the amount of plugins, try to not find a server from skial, blackwonder, or ugc and there should be less lag, I don't think there are any ways to fix this other than the usual "get better pc" crap

i had the same problem. to fix it go to advanced options and check the box next to "disable html-motds", or here is the command you can write in the console: cl_disablehtmlmotd 1
