Same thing with CS:GO and the like, free games attract toxic people because if they get banned or just want to be an ass with no consequences, they don't have to pay money to make another account and try again. Same explanation for cheaters.

as for the forums, i have found the average dweller to still be alright enough. they can honestly be not very bright, edgy, perhaps even horny af, but that's childish silliness more than anything. a grown-up mind can cope with that fine imo.
