We all know that current tf2 is filled with cheating bots and all but have you guy ever though who are these people behind the bots?

This might suprise you but most bot hosters are adults without jobs, no seriously i saw some streams of them trying to get as much money as possible since they can't pay their fees

bought it? It's literally freely available on github. Doubt it'll get taken down so we're just gonna have to deal with it the best we can until a proper fix is hopefully implemented.

The TF2 devs for bringing TF2 to linux.
Quite a few people, probably. You're not gonna find out who they actually are.

I'm fairly certain a forum full of these guys was doxed in the past couple years. They actually publicly announce who they are because they're full of themselves. It's just Valve does not care about any of it and thus it continues on. They have full rights to sue these people to oblivion because they're harming one of their products actively.

I blame the children. The bot problem really exploded in early 2020 when the pandemic started. At that time most of the world's schools closed. Kids were forced home all day. My guess is its angry, lonely 12-15 year olds who are using the bots. It costs money to run a computer all day or night. Electricity, internet access etc. For what? There is no profit. All they are after is attention. No adult is going to bot. After work, sleep, life they only have a few hrs a day for relaxing/entertainment. They arent going to spend that little free time trying to ruin a game they enjoy. Only one type a person is going to waste money and time botting a 13 year old game. Someone spending someone else's money. As they say 'think of the children'.

There was one YouTuber who was in his twenties that created bots in Tf2. Y’all remember MaximilianMus? He cyber bullied other YouTubers and deleted his channel around the time he created his bots. But there are no more MaximilianMus bots anymore. Did he feel guilty about ruining a good game? Was he not getting the attention he wanted? All I know is he stopped and there might actually be a way for the Tf2 community to stop the bot crisis rather than begging valve to do it themselves

The number one thing to do is not give it attention, especially baby raging. There more attention we give to the bots the more bots will be created. So I recommend kicking baby raggers from your lobby and that might keep them from giving hackers and bots the attention they want so badly
