It's not me saying the best disguise it's a discussion so let's talk about the best Spy disguises. So to start i will say the 7th one because no one expects it but let me know what you think in the comments. edit wow this has got so much comments and it has bean fun looking at all your guys comments so thanks and i hope the tf2 unofical bots get stoped.

Apparently scout or pyro because that’s all I see

i usually disguise as the enemy Spy and it works good most of the time

but some people see a spy and just spy check it, no matter what color he is, red or blu... so sometimes it can go wrong. but not most of the times that I've tried it

scout pyro sniper and even engineer its a easy giveaway that you are spy.

Medic with medigun as weapon and demo are rarely get spychecked. and medic its an easy way to lure low health enemies to you so you can finish them off with a single shot.

Friendly Hoovy is the most convincing disguise

Sniper or medic you're defending
Engineer, demo or pyro ir you're attacking
Scout only if you want to annoy snipers

Scout always.
Pyro, Demo, Sniper, Engineer and Medic when you get in the enemy battlements and you fear of having too many eyes on you, choose one depending in which part of the enemy team's territory you are.
Spy when you are in your team's battlements and the enemy is making a push.
Soldier and Heavy when you can play around corners and movement speed is not really needed for the stab, they also give you some extra credibility because nobody uses them so it helps securing.

Scout is terrible and an easy giveaway
If you don’t rj as Soldier for a while people will check you
If you don’t blindly spit flames around for no reason as Pyro people will check you
You can’t reach anyone’s backs as Heavy
People will check you if you’re near the frontlines as Engineer, Sniper, or Spy

Demoman and Medic are kings as long as you know how to switch your disguise’s weapons.

Trying to decide a "best" or "most reliable" disguise to use goes against literally the entire core design of the class

Choose based on the situation. If you always disguise as Scout because It's The Best Disguise (the forums said so!!) you're gonna get shut down reeeaaal quick.

demo tends to work the best because its not strange to see demos almost anywhere
