Tf2 audio bug

this has been happening to me for so long but its starting to annoy me a lot recently, and it only happens on tf2, no other game or video.

thanks it did help but the issue is still there, its happening less and you can hear it less but the issue is still there
I have a question though
what do I put in my audio tab, headphones or 2-7.1 speakers? also changing through them while having the bug makes the bug disappear now (it didnt before I updated my drivers)

I think I may be going crazy but I think it is lasting for less time, but I can still hear distortion

edit: I was just going crazy it definitely didn't do anything

If you are using a custom hitsound, temporarily remove it. Go into advanced options and make sure the hitsound pitch low and high aren't too low.
