If you are referring to Australium weapons, they are obtainable through completing a tour of Mann vs Machine on operation Two Cities and operation Gear Grinder. The estimated chance of receiving an Australium at the end of a tour is around 0.47%. You can also buy them off the steam community market of course.

Edit: The only 'golden' weapon in the game is the golden wrench which is now unobtainable.

On top of that, don't expect to be carried by mvm veterans, play some mann vs machine bootcamp before jumping into a tour. Although it's probably cheaper and less time consuming to buy the australium you want off the market, even if they are pretty expensive it's likely going to cost you less than paying 4 bucks per tour till you eventually get one.

Do they have anything to do with how well you perform in the game? Like overall at the end of the match?

The veterans or the aussies? If it's the latter i refuse to believe it's a genuine question.

No, like, do the odds change for getting one to drop depend on how well you play the tour?

No.

The odds are the same regardless of how well you do.

Ah, okay. I only played a tour once. Joined in as a match ended and got a Medic Mech-bag from it. That was cool.

Buy a ticket
Go to mann up
Play
There you have a botkiller weapons
if you want a specific aussie it would be cheaper to buy it directly

there's no confirmed drop chance, but yes the odds are still low

I would like to correct you that you can get australium from any advanced or expert tour, not only those two you mentioned.
