Item's origin: traded on backpack.tf?

My genuine professional killstreak maul has the origin of being "traded" on backpack.tf. I thought all items were either unboxed or from steam purchase? Why is it traded?

Is it duped???

Usually in the history tab in bp.tf on the top left it says “Duplicated” and will even show statistics of the original and duped.


Traded could mean a lot of things, like as soon as it was unboxed it went on the steam community market before it could be tracked the first time that is the most likely definition

If it’s genuine it was probably promotional so replace “unboxed” with “given”
