Voice and text chat disabled for this account?

Hey, hello. It has been years since I logged on this Steam account and even more years since I played TF2 (COVID suspicion made my family keep me in my room). I jumped on my first round since forever (and sucked) but it appears I can't send text messages or even voice commands (not using my mic, I mean calling for a Medic and such).

¿Does anyone know why?

Yes you can use the search bar you just can't search anything until you upgrade to premium.

There's a Premium DLC? I mean, last time I played this wasn't implemented. All I know is I bought it waaaaay back. But gotcha and thanks, I'll contact Steam Support.

some of that sounds like problems with you binds. Have you tried resetting settings to default? (at least the voice command part where you say medic and such)

I checked that already. It seems to be the problem mentioned in the previous comments, regarding restrictions (which shouldn't apply to me, considering I have the TF2 Premium DLC).

It seems buying the game 10 years ago isn't enough to use it now. Support said that I have to spend 5 dollars on the Steam store to make my account unlimited (mind you, I paid 90k pesos for the game).

Honestly, I have priorities in the midst of a pandemic and would rather not spend around 20 mil pesos on Steam just so I can write, speak and play in a game I already paid for.

Kinda' pissed off right now. It feels unfair.
