Team Fortress 2
TF2 Freezing on startup
My game was working just fine the night before, when I loaded it this morning it froze right before the valve logo appeared on screen. If I tab out of the game it will progress for a few seconds then freeze again. I've looked around on the forums, and I've tried doing -novid in the launch options, but nothing seems to be working. Ive also uninstalled and re downloaded the game, and verified its files. Steam says the game is fine, but no matter what I do it keeps freezing

Then maybe is something in your system that's causing this. Try doing a system's maintenance, and see if something comes up.
I had a problem with Windows Update a few days ago that took a lot of resources and kept freezing games and programs.

try this -autoconfig - Restores video and performance settings to default for the current hardware detected. Ignores settings inside any .cfg files until this parameter is removed.

Delete config.cfg and remove custom files if you have them and Verify Steam Cache and disable steam cloud leave disable for 24 hr this will reset you game setting to default.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\24787237\440\remote\cfg
config.cfg

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\cfg
config.cfg

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom

Verify Steam Cache

"Out of memory or address space. Texture quality setting may be too high."

Okay, here is what you need to do restore tf2 to it's default settings:

disable tf2 syncing with the steam cloud
delete the "cfg" folder in the /tf directory
remove anything in the custom folder
in tf2s launch options, put "-autoconfig" (make sure you take this out when you finish)
start tf2

The game should now be set to all default settings. Come back and let me know how it goes for you.

Sometimes I think you follow me or something, because everytime I answer this type of topic, you answer either right behind me, or quoting me.

But yes, that's something you could also try.

I've just found out this is happening to most if not all of my steam games. So how would I do a systems check, or revert the most recent windows update?

OS Stability Problems FIX reinstall the OS

What Causes Stability Problems

There are 3 main causes of PC stability problems:
Unstable Windows Operating system

This stability problem is, unfortunately, one of the most difficult of all problems to troubleshoot on a PC. The reason is twofold: first, this problem is usually intermittent, and therefore hard to pin down to any particular cause, and second, there are a wide variety of factors involved and so many variations of Windows configurations that every PC is a different story.

Operating system becomes unstable as a result of various cases:

Damage caused by previous virus infection (most common): Your PC may have been infected by viruses in the past and you most probably caught the virus with a good antivirus software and terminated/quarantined it. The fact is, in most cases, this is not enough to combat the stability problem you're having. Viruses leave behind residual damage in files they infect that remain on your PC even after the virus is gone.

Damage related to Windows updates - shutting down or restarting your PC during a Windows update & downloading erroneous Windows updates.
See example here
Damage related to Windows registry keys - registry keys are where Windows stores all kind of configuration settings. Running unreliable registry cleaners or trying to edit these keys manually without professional knowledge may cause unexpected behaviors in the form of PC stability problems that will later on be very hard to track and fix.
