How is the A.I. in this game?

So how are the bots in TF2? Are they smart? Are they dumb? Do they catch you off guard? Do they run back and forth every 2 steps? Do you like the bots in this game? And if they're bad, what can Valve do to make them smarter?

Extremely stupid.

They're only useful for studying movement speeds of different classes.

The bots are fairly basic and it's not uncommon for them to get stuck, they are training bots so don't expect them to be very good at the game

They're "going for the objective" -esq a bit better really bad new players, aka they're dumb.

They are great, they know when you are a spy.... that's a joke.

They are basic they focus on entrances all the time unlike humans and do there job properly but are not prepared against players who are experienced and doesn't understand who is spy and who isn't.

In short I never found any decent ai in gaming, even Overwatch AI is a joke and incomplete.

That's because most people go for FPS games nowadays. Try RTS games, they hace decent AI, or F.E.A.R's AI

The ai is bad

But alot of bots go friendly and stay in spawn or walk in a wall

You will be amazed how well they perform.

The AI ends up being better then a very large majority of what you'll encounter in Casual matches.

Basically if you can handle bots, you'll do fine against the average player.
