How do spys decloak so fast?

This might be a dumb question but, it seems to me every spy decloaks a lot faster than I can, is there a special weapon or something?

It's may just be your first person animation just being slower than seeing someone else decloak. To them, you're decloaking a lot faster than you think.

While the thirdpersron animation for spys decloaking is faster than the first person one, the delay before you can attack is still the same on both.

It's just a visual thing, don't sweat it.

The first person animation for decloak is not the same as the third person one

Attack delay is same, just that you appear to be decloaking faster on their screens than yours.

the spy will FULLY appear from the victim's perspective, but will be unable to attack for a moment.



this is why some spies appear to just rub their victim's shoulders for a bit before going in for the kill.
