FaN vs Soda Popper
Maybe none of them outperforms the scatergun, but that does not mean it's super fun to play
But which of the two do you consider best and why? Or which one do you like best?

soda popper: boost the scout through damage

FaN: knock people all over the map and gain a third "jump"

I recall the Soda Popper being on-par with the scattergun if not a little more.

soda popper is good even without the hype thing
if you manage to get a good meatshot on the first hit of the FaN the 2nd shot will do like 12 damage
FaN is fun to use apart from combat, and Soda Popper is fun to use and is generally superior to the FaN.

FaN tries to be a burst-dmg scattergun but that insane knockback screws it over, soda pop does the burst better, plus for mobility are you really going to cripple your dps when the winger and atomizer are a thing? the latter being melee which scout really only uses for utility are you really losing anything? all in all FaN needs to be re-worked for it to be good, as it is now it's like the loch-n-load, isn't unusable but sucks at what it tries to do.

I personally prefer using the Force-a-Nature. Maybe it's just because I don't have a problem with using crutches. I do enjoy having more pellets fired with each shot.

Soda Popper - 5 air jumps for just playing Scout the way he's intended to be played as.

FaN sucks & is annoying and people will think you're a douchelord if you use it.

That's why I'm using it.
i like the FaN, but I like the S.P more. they are about the same though.

- Soda Popper lets you gain 3 (i think) more jumps if you deal enough damage.
- FaN let's you get "Sick enviromental kills" and "let you take risks only cool kids can do" (official scunt main friend"
- Both can let you get to places some classes can't get to, letting you get the upper hand on the other mercs.
- FaN lets you use the extra knockback ability to shoot the enemy away, letting you run if need be.
- Soda Popper, after nerf, now takes SOME skill.

in my opinion though, i prefer the Soda Popper over the Force a Nature
