So he stopped playing TF2 and wanted to give me all his stuff. Trade was held back for 2 days and before the day i'd get the items trade was canceled and when we try to rade with each other this is what we get:

Ask him to start the trade. The information you guys need will be shown on his steam chat.

Most likely, he didn't activate steam guard on his phone.

i have the same issue with a friend and he could trade last night but cancelled it by accident and now he cant trade me?

If I remember correctly, this issue was never solved.
Maybe wait a few days then ask them to try trade with you again.

ask if your friend has reset his/her password if your friend did within 5 days then you won't be able to trade wait 5 days then try again it should work
