Linux Mint 20.2, Cinnamon desktop. Linux kernel 5.11.0-40-generic
You can't play the game because apparently VAC disallows playing TF2 with Proton. I'm buying a Steam Deck and I want this to work. Valve, pls fix.
valve isn't gonna do ♥♥♥♥
I got no problem with res but that my kde plasma extensions kinda fall apart.
With that i mean no animations for the latte dock, mac like window effects etc.
Distro would be nice to know
For me:
Manjaro stable, kde plasma, 5.15 stable kernel. And an amd gpu because ♥♥♥♥ nvidia
Portal 2 and Half life 2 also got some cool linux updates
Especially portal 2's update was very steam deck specific, such as SteamInput on LInux, Vulkan support, later on improving Vulkan support. Linux bug fixes etc.
Probably to take full advantage fo the SteamDecks hardware.
Would be cool to see especially Vulkan on Linux.
Then the game could litterely run up to 2 times as fast as on windows, in cpu limited moments like "100X mvm chaos server." Since Vulkan is much better alt multi threading than OpenGL or directX 9
