Team Fortress 2
TF2 Competitive recommended settings.
What graphical settings do the bigger players use? Do they play on -dxlevel 81, higher graphics, lower graphics, medium graphics, etc. You get it.

Depends if the faded graphics don’t affect your gameplay performance. If the low dxlevel graphics don’t run you off then run it so you can maximize FPS and therefore have a better experience.

Though, if you’re certain that your PC can handle the low settings without reducing dxlevel then go for that. Maximize FPS whenever possible I say.

I see a lot of people using configs, any you can recommend?

"Bigger" players use configs which make their game look like crap. the only reason b4nny e.g. has his game look like crap is because that's what he's used to, as he's from a poor background and thus had a really bad computer "Back in the day". there's literally NO reason to run tf2 at low graphics if your pc isn't a toaster

Tbh im the same thing but I would happily go to any dependent on advantage or not

would it really matter to you if you had 300 fps or 1k fps?

Depends on advantage! For example what would allow to see farther, or what makes the crouch spam less teleport-ish

If you crouch spam your model goes a bit crazy up and down. As a sniper you would kinda have to guess the hitbox which stays the same unlike the model that we see.

but you'd have to keep holding crouch down for a little bit before you actually crouch tho. do some people actually do this? seems like you'd have to be a bit dedicated to me

You don't have to hold it to glitch the model and thats why your hitbox stays in the normal standing position. As a sniper main fighting against other snipers who love to second scope/trying to snipe any other more professional player would do this. Especially in competitive play when they know the sniper is targeting them. Some do it all the time.

wait so if i just press it, the thirdperson playermodel goes into a crouch, but i don't actually crouch until a little bit of holding crouch?

Don't need to hold it, just spam crouch mid-air when you jump.
This video is from 2012 calling it a "jump glitch". Valve never really did anything with it. The video is below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0-LxTBZJpY
He says the hitbox changes mid-air but as far as I KNOW or think, I didn't test this: The hitbox stays the same if you spam the crouch button but if you hold it then it changes.
Its funny that a 2012 video is still relevant.
