The big downside (for me atleast) is the projectile speed.
Get it if you want to spam chokepoints a lot and make people mad because you're doing that, or want Medics to flame you. Not very good for other situations.
It's not really used for much, like the Pomson.
Dying because unless they're using the vita-saw.
The Pomson doesn't kill anything.
If you compare it to the Rescue Ranger it's terrible, but if you compare anything to the Rescue Ranger it's terrible because of how busted and OP that weapon is. If you compare it to the shotgun you trade some close range damage for annoying choke spam. It's not a bad weapon like people here are saying, you just have to use it in an annoying way.
They also nerfed its choke spam ability and buffed its CQC damage to try to mitigate what I'm saying, but what I'm saying still holds true, just to less extremes than it did before.
You are trading instant damage at any range that is incredibly reliable for a slow moving projectile of dubious consistency... in a game as fast-paced as this.
Pub players might think that.
Also, what's the best Engie primary?
