Corrupted Custom Sound Bug
I'm having this bug where on occasions where the sound effect of clothes rustling (example: during the flippin awesome taunt) a very loud/earrape version of a static sound occurs. It sounds like it could be a corruption but I haven't been able to fix it. I've tried verifying game cache, I tried deleting a bugged custom sound that caused it to happen on that effect. I think a problem might be that I deleted a bunch of sound.cache files because I kept getting the "full memory" error.

Is there a way I can fix this?

EDIT: I found a video that shows almost exactly what I'm having.

stolen hi Jul 11, 2018 @ 6:39pm
I had the same issue
Go to /tf/ directory, and use file explorer search for "sound.cache"
Once it shows up, delete everything, you may have missed a few
after that, go in game and type in console snd_restart
You'll need to do it each time a new update happens

I'm trying to delete the remaining sound.cache files but I'm unable to because I'm getting the error "Item Not Found" saying that it is not found in tf\custom. Is there a work around for this?

Hold on, after looking though all my files, I've found a fix.

It's sometimes not just the sound.cache file, but it can just be the corrupted sound. Just find it in /custom/ and delete it.
