How to change tf2 class selection (in-game) screen to have alternate icons?

So i might sound dumb but when i watch other tf2 youtubers i see that when they join a game they have class icons, instead of the class models. Also when they play spy there disguise kit also uses class icons instead of models. I have heard of custom huds so that might be what it is? If so please send me a link to download the custom hud. If not please tell me what it is, so i can get it.

thanks, could you please give me a link to only the icon hud (I use Linux, so it has to be for linux or have a linux option). Thank you for you're help :)
