Why did Valve Remove The Rick May Statue?

I mean, I know May ended like 14 days ago but why would they remove the statue? It would be great if it was still in the game, Does Valve really hate TF2 like this?

So people actually leave him RIP (Rest in Peace), it's been two months and yesterday I saw a post again about RIP Rick May, I don't feel like it's Rest in Peace, when you keep talking about him.

1- they did not delete it from the game as far as i'm aware. the statue model is still in the game files but they just removed it from the official maps.

2- people were complaining about the statues causing map gameplay strategies and balance to change (i.e people could use them to hide and cover in areas where they couldn't before, etc)

3- the tribute to Rick May was held on the month of May in respect to his last name. it will probably return again every year at the month of May.

if anything, not keeping it is the actual act of decency, cause ultimately you must move on and not think of rick may's tombstone 24/7. its place is in a grave yard, not on every servers. same went, goes and will go for any other tf2-related dead.

They were removed because people were abusing the statues as shields and using the "I WAS PAYING RESPECTS TO RICK MAY." excuse when they get killed

Also Valve removing the statues =/= Valve hates the game. Rick May's time had come. Let him rest in peace rather than reviving the topic every two weeks
