I can't do circle strafe stabs even in casual

I have learned how to do them (through culs and ezras tutorials) and have done them in mge with my friends 1.lv being the most consistent. But I haven't even gotten a 1.lv stab (or any .lv stab for that matter) on a player in casual. Tried tf2c lobbies (basically impossible.). List of .lv's i haven't done 3.lv, and all of the 4.lv stabs including glue stab. I get gunned down immediately before even getting a chance to try a circle strafe stab and its super annoying.

Any tips for any of these stabs will be appreciated (especially for the glue stab)!

Nah not rly just set the stage for the stab

I don't know how to help you exactly, the only advice I can think of is that you should get confident with your movement.

I assume you've already watched this video, so the next step would be to practice.
No better place to do so on than Walkway and perhaps even Surf/B-Hop servers.

You should give yourself unlimited health "hurtme -1000000" and proceed to surf-stab Soldier bots (that have Soldier speed), which are shooting rockets consistently.
The only settings on the map which you should change are: Summon Soldier bots, enable firewall, set Soldiers to move at Soldier speed, set them to spawn slightly more frequently than default, enable constant resupply for them, and lastly, make them attack constantly.
(This is pretty much just my setup.)

Edit: You can also practice your muscle memory with this setup for regular backstabs, but you can totally make bots strafe etc.

i also forgot to mention I keep getting gunned down before i get even a chance to try to circle strafe stab...
