Addition: I've tried taunting/alt-fire with the amputator and I didn't reach 500 hp of healing in 1 second.
However... I'm thinking that it may work if I spam the alt-fire of the amputator in an engie's nest, next to a dispender.
And I think that it can be any weapon, but I'm not sure. I don't know if the bonus objective of this contract works or not.
Also, I've asked some people in a chat and they told me that the bonus objective of the 500 hp in 1 second is unreasonable and impossible.
Damn it... it's incredibly hard.
1. The medic heals better if he's mostly exposed instead of hiding against a wall or corner.
"The healing effect requires line of sight to the target, and therefore cannot heal teammates who are on the opposite side of an obstacle."
2. It is impossible to reach 500 hp/s if you keep spamming it. It can only heal 275 to the whole team with normal healing (25 * 11 = 275).
3. You'd need at least 7 teammates that hadn't received any damage in the last 15 seconds in order to perform the 500 hp in one second (75 * 7 = 525). This is also known as crit-healing and people can be jumpy about medics not healing on purpose -- some even can call vote-kick just for that.
4. To add insult to injury: the medic has to drop the good habit of healing everyone with the mediguns just to do the 500 hp in 1 second objective (or even have a chance at it), meaning that he has to purposely ignore teammates when they call for a medic, AND he has to wait at least 20 seconds to see if 7 of the teammates will remain there, waiting for the medic to heal them with a lot of patience.
And on the other side: doing 10.000 healing in the same life is possible. However it is really grindy and as I said before: the medic is performing the Specialist achievement 6 times.
I'm afraid that players won't pick the amputator contract once they read all this info. They may go for the sniper or spy contracts, which are way too easier.
And the ones who picked the amputator are stuck in this situation that requires heavy grinding for the 10.000 healing in the same life and pure luck for the 500 hp in 1 second.
If someone can prove that I'm wrong, I invite that someone to present his/her arguments here. Even a video performing the contract or 500 hp in one second successfuly can greatly help.
I'm sending an e-mail to the TF Team E-mail sent to TF2 team.
Well... this is one way to do it... kinda. The video is self-explanatory for the 10k healing.
And about the suggestions: 7k is perfectly fine for me, and for the 300 hp/s, it would need to crit-heal at least 4 teammates.
Thx Sir, let's hope they listen to this.
