xbox controller scheme broken

can't jump, can't reload and can't crouch. the steam controller and the xbox controller are virtually the same why was anything changed?

it automatically disables joystick 0 in the command list for some unkown reason and even states that it activates it and then immediatley deactivates. tested it out and its still broken.

Omg same here! The game is unplayable rn, and while people say: “Oh use keyboard and mouse” i have to say, as weird as it sounds, i mentally cannot do that, and its really uncomfortable for me to do.

i physically cannot do that because for some stupid reason my laptop doesnt have a seperated m1 and m2

Me too! I want to play with the new pyro, I want to try out the new useful pocket pistol, I want to play with the reserve shooter and not be shat on for it, I want to play with the new panic attack and use it as a strong combat shotgun, I want to play with the new buffed minigun accuracy..

But most of all..

I want to play TF2 with my controller, Valve. :c

Unfortunately Steam apparently won't allow me to upload images showing you directly,
but try big picture mode>library>installed>tf2 jungle inferno>manage game>controller options>then uncheck "use steam config for non steam controllers".

ok i did more digging and found its not under tf2's settings its under the generic controller settings

Are you able to rebind keys using your controller in the key config menu of tf2? Are you getting any input at all? What are your settings in the big picture>settings>controller settings menu? any boxes checked, is the controller listed as detected? Someone suggested putting
-nosteamcontroller in tf2's launch options, but this either didn't work for me, or was only part of why it worked for me. Here's another solution from a different thread I was monitoring, maybe it will work:
