Upward.

Lots of flank, lots of high ground, lots of space.

Literally every map you plan on playing a lot.

Scout has a lot of jumping around, being so agile. May be worth checking out a surf map.

There's nothing such as "good maps for scouts" cause your scoot skill doesn't depend on what map you play.

You need to learn how dodge and shoot accurately at the same time, how to flank & ambush.
Start with Casual, if you did good try MGE or TF2Center (highlander), then after that you can try 6s where shit gets real.
Once you get gud you can do this in any map

Don't throw the guy in there, he need to learn in casual first.

262h sounds plenty to me, the sooner he gets into competitive and hard stuff the better - provided he doesn't need band-aid after the first MGE match.

I've already tried out Highlander on a friends account. Let's just say I messed up those stats pretty bad, heh.

I'm guessing 2Fort is a terrible map to train.

I don't know, from my experience of TF2Center people weren't very kind with people below 900 hours.

Also, how will I counter Soldier's? They're always killing me and I can never dodge them.

By behind, with the high ground, and if there's none of that then you'll have to dodge.

That is because tf2center players usually don't have the thick skin to accept other players with a lesser standard than an inflated version of themselves. Their prejudice is the main issue.

Someone will learn faster getting actual field experience than to remain in training grounds for years. I am the perfect example of the latter, I still can't hold my stuff in comp after 5.5k hours because I didn't enter competitive for an extended amount of time.

Via flanking and high ground. If you have to face them head on, jump around as little as possible. If you use up your double jump, you're vulnerable if the Soldier decides to try and juggle you. You can use your double jump to dodge that, so don't use it up too soon.

The maps depend on your skill and practice, if It's on upward, then you have a decent amount of space for flanking and escape, if It's something like 2fort, then you have less room to flank and more compact routes.

If you want to flank, try the back scatter and crit a cola combo, those can deal decent damage for the front and back.

Want to be a distraction and still do damage? Try the soda popper and bomk atomic punch combo.

Always fight them on open fields where you can dodge their rockets easily , do not fight them indoors.

Does the Fan O' War make Back scatter mini cries full crits?
