Team Fortress 2
How to create a TF2 server using the "Create Server Function"
Nothing helps recent, tried using SV_LAN 0 to remove the lan function, it's still listed as local multiplayer, trying to get others to join without them directly connecting to my network like with himachi.

Thats not how you create a server
It's worked for me in the past, and I have done it before, also i'm not trying to make it public, either like most websites, it has worked before and i'm wondering why it isnt working now.

How did ya do it before?
1. Create server
2. Invite Friend
3. Repeat
Has worked before for my 1v1's against toxic people, but wont work with 1v1's against my friends?

They didnt remove it....it was never a thing, in every game if you just create a server you arent online inmediatly unless it has p2p connection, also that "lmfao" took away 34 neurons off me, thanks

I know that after changing the sv_lan setting in console you have to relaunch the server (with "retry" in console). After that, if you have the default tf2 port open, people should be able to join
Yes haha internet slang commonly used around the internet to clear the air of an awkward conversation takes away 34 neurons, thanks for your logic kind sir.

So hipotetically, if i connect with someone on hamachi and enable lan, we should be able to join each other?

I have already tried changing sv_lan with retry, but please elaborate on the tf2 default port part?

Yeah, Himachi does that.

From my personal experience, launching a server with map in the console and sv_lan 0 will make your server public. Depending on your modem, port forwarding is automatically done by the game engine. I've had random people join my games on accident by forgeting to set sv_lan to 1.
