Dying too fast.

A pal of mine who hates tf2 says he hates it because everyone dies instantly to everything.
(and says overwatch is better.) and i tried to explain to him how he might be bad at dodging but he says that the game is stupid.
please help me think of ways to explain to him how its wrong.

Of course he's bad. The skill cap of this game is absolutely ludicrous.
This is a game where you need to play hundreds of hours to be competent, and thousands of hours to master it. That's what he needs to understand, and frankly the whole community needs to understand that that's just...not normal. It's beyond reason to have to play a game for well over a hundred hours before you're really capable of having any fun (excluding the dumb hilarious taunt parties of course).
Most players these days have put in so much time in this game that they could have spent that time completing dozens of other games they had backlogged.

Isn't that obviously dumb that my own teammate running towards me with primary out and doesn't shooting?

How fast people die is one of the reasons I've stuck with this game so long.

Instantly? most primary weapons need at least 2 shots to kill a light class.

i remember one time a level 1 spy accused me of hacking because i killed him while he was cloaked... nevermind the fact that he bumped into me not even 3 seconds before...
